The health and beauty sector continues to perform robustly. Boots saw an 8.7% increase in like-for-like
sales in the three months to November last year, while THG (The Hut Group) posted a 2.1% increase in sales in its third quarter to £518.6m.
Health and beauty catalogues typically come in publications under 50 pages, with six out of 10 including some form of special offer. Women under 35 are the most likely to receive health and beauty catalogues, and nine out of 10 of these catalogues are looked at immediately or kept to look at another time.
Three out of four health and beauty catalogues stay in the home for at least a week, and they are looked at for 12 minutes on average.
Marketreach found at least 26% of health and beauty catalogues lead to a purchase.
